Plant & Flower Care
At Soirée Pines, we take great care in selecting and delivering fresh, high-quality flowers and plants. Because these are perishable items, their longevity depends on proper care after delivery.
Flowers & Cut Arrangements
We guarantee the freshness of our floral arrangements upon delivery. To ensure their longest possible life, please follow the care instructions below. If you believe there is an issue with your arrangement, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery so we can address your concerns.
Care Instructions for Fresh Arrangements
Keep flowers in a cool location, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and drafts. Refresh the water daily with clean, lukewarm water. Trim the stems at an angle every two days to promote water absorption. Remove any wilting blooms or foliage to keep the arrangement fresh. Add a small amount of flower food or a homemade solution (such as a teaspoon of sugar and a few drops of lemon juice per quart of water) to nourish the flowers.
Live Plants
All plants, including orchids, require specific care to thrive. Upon delivery, please inspect your plant and let us know within 24 hours if you have any concerns. After this period, we cannot assume responsibility for environmental conditions that may affect the plant’s health.
Delivery of Perishable Items
We understand that timing is important when delivering fresh flowers and plants. Upon placing you order, we ask customers to provide any special delivery requests, including a preferred time window for delivery.
If no one is available to receive the delivery, we will attempt to contact the recipient. If we receive permission from the customer, we will leave the arrangement on the porch or another designated area. By agreeing to have the arrangement left outside, you assume full responsibility for any potential damage caused by weather, temperature, theft, or other external factors. Soirée Pines is not liable for wilted flowers due to heat, cold exposure, or prolonged time outside.
Wire Orders & Third-Party Services
Many customers are unaware that wire orders- floral arrangements purchased through national online services (FTD, Teleflora, 1-800-Flowers, From You Flowers etc.) – are not created by the company selling them. These businesses do not operate as real florists; instead, they collect orders and pass them along to local flower shops for fulfillment.
Due to seasonal availability, design variations, and pricing differences, what you receive from your local florist may not exactly match the image or expectations set by the wire service. Additionally, wire services collect a 29% commission on each order before passing it to a local florist. This means that if you purchase an $80 arrangement through a wire service, only $56.80 of that amount actually goes toward the flowers, vase, design and delivery, resulting in a smaller or less elaborate arrangement than expected.
Additionally, some national online services have opted to begin passing floral orders along to retail grocery stores for fulfillment. Grocery stores may not have the same standards for freshness or the variety of flowers that professional florists offer. This means that customers may not receive the same value for their order in terms of quality, presentation, or experience.
For the best quality, selection, and value, we strongly recommend ordering directly from a local brick-and-mortar florist rather than using a third-party service. When you purchase from a local florist like Soirée Pines, you get exactly what you pay for – customized, fresh, and beautifully arranged flowers without hidden fees or commissions.
Final Sale Policy
Due to the perishable nature of flowers, plants, and custom floral designs, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or returns. If there is an issue with your order upon delivery, please contact us within 24 hours, and we will assess the situation on a case-by-case basis.
